As it continues to warm up outside, your face might take the heat. For some of us, warmer weather brings out excess oil in our skin. With this can come clogged pores, breakouts, and gross looking makeup. (Definitely not the glowy look you’ve been after!)! Luckily there are a few products that can help control that shine for balanced and healthy skin.
The first option for my excessively oily clients would be Dermalogica’s Dermal Clay cleanser. Kaolin and green clays absorb oil while ingredients like ivy and lemon purify. This formula helps to deeply cleanse and decongest skin. If you’re dealing with constant oil, this will help balance oil production with continued use.
The second option is Oil Free Matte. This is a lightweight formula that controls shine throughout the day. It also has SPF 30 to protect you from the sun’s harmful rays. Pro tip: if you’re only oily in your t-zone area, you can just apply it there! Just be sure to apply another SPF on the outer portions of your face. My more oily clients should use it all over in the morning for optimal results.
For masking purposes to detox your skin weekly, Sebum Clearing Masque is the way to go. This product includes ingredients that will help absorb oil and clear pores. Bonus for my acne prone clients! Focus this product on the t-zone area to control larger pores and blackheads or all over if needed. This mask is a popular go-to especially in these warmer climates!
I hope these tips help keep your oil under control! Always feel free to stop into PIL to pick up these products and ask me any of your questions.
